Step 2: Install a V15 Vendor Catalog

After installing the v15 software, you should install some vendor catalogs. All of the specific v15 catalogs have been configured with the latest pricing, parts, and details for the given manufacturer. The catalogs include the more popular systems, and entrances that each particular manufacturer offers.

The imported v14 catalogs have not been configured specifically for the v15 software, however, they do have a complete list of parts from that particular manufacturer.

The main differences between v14 and v15 catalogs are the door and entrance configurations. The v14 program included door information in each framing system. The v15 program separates the elevation frame systems from the doors and door frames. There are also many more part settings in the v15 software, so it is much more capable of dealing with more complication curtain/pressure wall systems.

The new WinBidPro software is very flexible, so it is easy to modify, delete, and add systems, doors, and door frames to any vendor catalog. It is always recommended that you learn how to configure framing systems and entrances in any catalog, as this is how you will unlock the true power of the WinBidPro software.

Miscellaneous Downloads

v15.1.26 Wise Install (82MB). If you have trouble with the .26 Full Install, you can run this install file and then the .27 patch.

v15.1.26 Patch file (3.6MB). If for some reason the latest version won't work for you, run this patch file to go back to the .26 revision.

Hardware.mdb file (224KB). If you skipped a version patch of v15 and receive a message about a missing Hardware.mdb file, you can click this link and Save the file to your C:\WinBidPro folder.

v15.1.25 Patch file (3.6MB). If for some reason the latest version won't work for you, run this patch file to go back to the .25 revision.

v15 Ghost Installer (73MB). Run this installer on older Windows XP machines if the newer versions of WinBidPro will not install. You can then run the latest patch file to bring the program up-to-date.

TaskKill.zip file for Run-Time Error 53 when closing program in Windows XP. The taskkill.exe file inside this zip file needs to be saved to the Windows\System32 folder. This will correct this problem.

VDConverter.zip - Save this file to your C:\WinBidPro\VCAD folder if you don't see drawings in the VCAD program. If you have Windows Vista, right click on the Setup.exe and click "Run as Administrator" to go through the installation.

NewVbCAD.exe Get an updated version of the FREE CAD program for your WinBidPro software. Run this NewVbCAD File and click the UnZip button to save the latest files into your WinBidPro folder. This new vbCAD program is much improved over the old vbCAD. We will be posting new training videos for this very soon.

Master.mdb - Save this file to your C:\WinBidPro folder if you have trouble opening v15 even after running the Repair Utility.

Location.mdb - Save this file to your C:\WinBidPro folder if you accidentally changed the Master.mdb location to the wrong file, and you can't open the program anymore.

Microsoft .NET 3.5 Setup - Run this file if you are having problems installing the latest WinBidPro software. You may be receiving a VectorDraw Framework error or a .NET error during the installation. This file will install the latest .NET framework on your computer, then you can try running the WinBidPro install file again.

Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility - Download and run this program to install this utility. Sometimes MS Windows won't let you uninstall software, even through the Control Panel. This utility will remove any installed program from the registry and the Add or Remove Programs list. It will not remove all files that were installed by the program, but at least Windows will think it was uninstalled. This will often let you install the program again, if that is what you originally wanted to do.

COMCT332.OCX - If your "GDS Web" link is not working in your v15 program, the latest install file was missing this OCX file that is needed for the internal web browser. Save this file to your C:\Windows\System32 folder, then register the file using the following command in the "Run - Command Line": regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\comct332.ocx
You should see a "Succeeded" message after you run this command, then the "GDS Web" link should work fine.

Key Install File - Run this file if you are having trouble getting your USB Dongle key to work on your computer. You can also save it to your C:\WinBidPro\Security folder if you like, and run it from there.

License BlankDLL File - If your license keeps needing to be reset, you may need this file. Click on this link and "Run" the file, then click the UnZip button. The BlankDLL file will extract to your WinBidPro folder and replace the existing file. Close the WinZip window when you are done.
