New v14.1 Features
Many enhancements have been made to version 14.1 of the GDS Storefront Estimating System and are listed below.
- Compiled
with the latest 32-bit development tools to ensure the greatest possible
reliability and performance.
- 30-day
trial allows evaluation of software, and once purchased, a USB or Parallel
plug controls access to the software, eliminating the need for support with
license issues.
- Built-in
Shopdrawing program with an extensive set of U.S. Aluminum detail drawings.
This feature allows for viewing and printing of DXF and DWG files. You can
even view 3D CAD files (not included) and print CAD files to scale.
- New
Horizontal field lets you enter equal spaced horizontals with ease.
- U.S.
Aluminum detail drawings are associated to U.S. Aluminum framing systems.
Other vendor details can be associated using a new detail association
screen.
- Label
printing program for cut pieces of glass and metal.
- Export cut list file for DeMichele and Tiger Stop automated saw stop machines.
- Ability
to copy jobs within a vendor AND between vendors.
- Ability
to change colors and re-price a job without re-editing.
- Popup
a list to select parts from when adding or editing framing part numbers.
Requires less framing systems for a given vendor since the color is no
longer a concern.
- Ten
vendors can be installed into the GDS system at one time.
- Job
Name screen now shows number of elevations in each job and other important
job information.
- Training
videos on CD-ROM to help teach new users how to use the GDS system.
- A New, more sophisticated optimizer that provides better yields for material, less scrap

All subscribers to the new v14.1 GDS system will receive:
- Unlimited
technical support.
- All
updates to the GDS system, including Service Packs and any New versions. For
example, the new optimizer will be released as a service pack for all v14.1
subscribers and should be ready during the summer of 2001.
- All
new catalogs and catalog updates (for any updates we receive from a vendor).
- All
new detail files and detail file updates (for details we receive from a
vendor).

storefront estimating software that is not only easy to learn and use, but

the GDS system will enable us to continuously improve the program in an
