V14.1 Downloads
Free 30-Day Trial Installation Instructions	Click the link to the left to install as a 30-day full trial. Note: if you are already a licensed v14.1 user, the program will still be fully licensed through your hardware key. Print and read the instructions for details on installing the program. This version will NOT overwrite v12.1. It will install as a new program with a new icon. You will have the option of importing vendors from v12.1 into v14.1. Warning: This file is 24MB in size, and requires a substantial amount of time to download using a modem. With a 28.8kbps modem it could take over 3 hours to download this file. Read through and print the Installation Instructions. Download the GDSv1418.EXE file now.
v14.1 Vendor Catalogs	Go to this new vendor section to get the latest catalogs for the newest version of the GDS system. Note: All catalog updates in 2001 and later will only be available in v14.1 and newer.
v14.1 Vendor Details	Go to this new page to download the latest detail files for vendors that have been configured. Check this page periodically to see if new vendor files have been added.
Security Key File	You can either Open or Save this file to both uninstall and install the device drivers for the GDS security keys. If you like, you can save this file to your C:\EstWinV14\Security folder and replace the existing file. This is the most up-to-date file for the GDS security keys.
Older v14.1 Downloads
GDS v14.1.7 Full Trial v14.1.83 Update Patch posted (03/16/2004)	IMPORTANT: Only install this patch if you are having trouble with v14.1.84 or later. Otherwise, uninstall your current version and install the full trial v14.1.85, above. It is always best to install the full program as apposed to a patch. To Install this patch, click the link to the left and select "Open" or "Run." Then click the "UnZip" button to copy the updated file for the GDS program.
v14.1.7 Update Patch DLL file for v14.1.6 thru 7 Win 95,98, ME DLL Win XP Home DLL Win NT,2000, XP Pro DLL	This patch file is a self extracting Zip file. After running the file, click the UnZip button and your program will be changed to v14.1.7. If you have a version older than 14.1.6, you will need to download the appropriate DLL file. This file is used with the new optimizer that was added to v14.1.6.
Markup Report Fix	Fix for Markup Report not printing some information, or not printing clearly in v14.1. Download and run this file, then click UnZip to extract the files. There is no need to reboot after this fix.
XARRAY32.OCX	If you receive an error while processing labor in v14.1.6, save this file to your "C:\Windows\System" folder ("C:\Winnt\System32" for NT, 2000, XP Pro) and then type the following command (for 95 through XP Home) in the Start - Run command line to register this file: regsvr32 C:\windows\system\xarray32.ocx Then click OK to run this command.
MSCOMCTL.OCX	If you receive a Run-time Error 339 about a file that is missing or not correctly registered , this file should solve the problem. Save this file to your System folder on your computer. This would be the "C:\Windows\System" folder if you have Windows 95, 98, or ME, and "C:\Winnt\System32" or "C:\Windows\Sysetm32" if you have Windows NT, 2000, or XP.
Run-Time Errors 3027 and 3170	A couple of errors have plagued our v14.1.7 CD with first time installations. Follow these steps to resolve these errors. Run-Time Error 3027: Download Fix Now. Click this link and follow the instructions to fix this error. Run-Time Error 3170: Click Here and follow the instructions to fix this error.
IMPLODE.DLL	If you have v14.1.62 and are unable to print any of the reports, but can print the 1/4 and 1/8 scale drawings, you need to save this file to your "C:\Windows\System" folder if you have Windows 95, 98, or ME. Save this file to your "C:\Winnt\System32" folder if you have Windows NT, 2000, or XP. You shouldn't have to restart, but do so if the reports still won't print.
GDSERRORS.MDB	Click on this link and select the Save option. When the "Save As" window opens, select your C: drive and then open your EstWinV14 folder. Click Save to save to this folder.
MDAC_TYPE.EXE	The GDS program uses Microsoft Data Access Controls to connect to both text files and Microsoft Access databases. Sometimes the DLL files for these control and their dependencies get mixed up and are not the correct version. Download and run the Mdac_type.exe file to reinstall all of the necessary data access system files to try and get these system files on the right version for the GDS program. GDSMASTER.MDB	Click on this link and select Save to download this file to your C:\EstWinV14 folder. Then select Yes to replace the existing file. NOTE: Only do this if you were instructed by GDS support personnel, or if you are having unexplained trouble opening the GDS program or processing a job. Be aware that replacing this file in the GDS program will wipe out any changes you have made to your Glass Table. This means you will need to make the changes again after saving this default file.
