GDS Estimating Privacy Policy
As you use our services, we want you to be clear how we’re using information and the ways in which you can protect your privacy.
Information we collect
We collect information to provide better services to all of our users.
We collect information in two ways:
-
Information you give us. For example, many users sign up for an annual subscription to our services. When you do, we’ll ask for personal information, like your name, company, email address, telephone number or credit card.
-
Information we get from your use of our services. We may collect information about the services that you use and how you use them. Our sites use Google Analytics for tracking anonymous user interactions with our site. Learn more about Google Analytics and privacy. The information we collect directly, or through Google Analytics includes:
-
Device information
We may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version).
-
Log information
When you use our services or view content provided by GDS, we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs. This may include:
-
Location information
Google Analytics can determine a general location such as your city or region using IP geolocation. This does not collect and process any information about your exact location such as GPS location.
-
Local storage
We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.
-
Cookies and anonymous identifiers
We use various technologies to collect and store information when you use a GDS service. This may include sending one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device.

How we use information we collect
We use the information we collect from all of our services to provide, maintain, protect and improve them, to develop new ones, and to protect GDS and our users. We do not share any personal information, including cookies and anonymous identifiers, with third-parties without your direct consent. For example, you may be able to request a quote or order with a manufacturer through our CloudGDS application which may require us to send your personal information to that manufacturer. Such information will never be sent by GDS without prompting for your approval immediately before the transfer of information takes place.
When you contact GDS, we may keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements.
We use information collected from cookies and other technologies to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services. For example, by saving your regional preferences, we’ll be able to display manufacturers from your region.
We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy.

How you can control the information sent to GDS
Many sites across the web (including GDS’s) use Google Analytics to understand how visitors engage with their sites or apps. If you don’t want Analytics to be used in your browser, you can install the Google Analytics browser add-on. Learn more about Google Analytics and privacy.
